Interview Tips – Handling Tough Questions

You may not be a big gaming enthusiast and may not have used Nintendo’s gaming console in the past. Hence, you may not have purchased too many R4 3DS cards in the past. However, does this mean you should have absolutely zero knowledge about this product?
Well, if you are in the business of selling stuff and are trying to establish yourself as a marketing expert, you should be prepared to sell stuff that you do not like. How will you react if you are asked by your interviewer to market this particular product to him within the next five minutes? Can you explain that you do not like gaming and therefore will not be interested in marketing this product?
Or would you say that you have no idea what this product does because you have never played games? Well, your answer may be factually correct but is not going to impress the interviewer. On the other hand, if you are prepared to make an effort to market the product by using common sense and logic, chances are high that you will impress the interviewer. Never make the mistake of thinking that you should know the answer to each and every question in an interview the moment it comes out of your interviewer’s mouth.
You have the freedom to think on your feet and come up with the best possible answer even if it is not the ideal one. You will not deal with ideal situations all your life and this must be remembered when attending an interview.
